Edward Witten once said,
" The hardest part of research is always to find a question that’s big
enough that it’s worth answering, but little enough that you actually can
answer it."
He is implying that the initial phase is the hardest part of research.
Students who are interested in research and want to explore it further get
dragged by questions like:
- What topics to choose for research and why?
-
How to write SOP, research papers, etc? What are the relevant
internships?
- Does GPA matter in higher studies?
The purpose of Sophomitra is to help such students. Sophomitra is a
personalized one to one mentor-mentee program by Research Community, IIT
BHU. It aims to guide sophomores interested in research to explore further.
The mentors are the senior undergraduates of IIT BHU with background in
research. During its first session of two months (Oct ’21 to Nov ’21), this
program involved 47 mentors and benefitted 171 mentees. Are you interested
to be a mentor or a mentee? Fill out the form below.
